5 Days into the Soul of the Annapurna Mountains

When you have limited time in Nepal but you want to see the snow capped peaks of the Himalayas, then the Poon Hill Trek is perfect for you. It features just five days of trekking into some of the most spectacular scenery in the Himalayas.

The Pooh Hill Trek is a moderately easy trek with a maximum elevation of 3.220m at Pooh Hill. It will give you a true taste of the mountains of Nepal.

The five days of trekking will be wonderful. Through your trek, you will see some of the most incredible peaks in the world, including Mt. Dhaulagiri (elev. 8,167 m) and Annapurna I (8,091 m), which are the 7th and 10th highest mountains in the world, respectively. You will also see Mt. Nilgiri (elev. 7040 m); Mt. Annapurna II (elev. 7,937 m), Mt. Annapurna III (elev. 7,555 m), Dhampus Peak (elev. 6,012 m), Machhapuchhre (aka. Fishtail Mountain, elev. 6,998 m), Mt. Lamjung Himal (elev. 6,986 m) and many more. There is probably no greater collection of snowcapped peaks anywhere in the world as in the Annapurna Region.

The highlight of this trek is watching the most spectacular sunrise on the planet! Every morning, the sun makes its awesome appearance as it majestically rises above the mountains, turning the snow capped peaks from grey to pink and finally a brilliant white as the sun rises higher and higher in the dark blue Himalayan skies.

The trip includes one day of sightseeing in the Kathmandu Valley where you will visit several famous UNESCO World Heritage sites. The Poon Hill Trek takes you through the Gurung villages, responsible for cultivating this difficult land for centuries. There are many other ethnic groups, each with their own culture, language and traditions. But the common part is their hospitality and their warm welcome.

The Poon Hill Trek is a bewitching trek that will make your Nepal holiday a memorable one. Your representative at Nepal Tibet Tours and Treks will help you make this trip a dream-like reality for you.
