Mustang lies in the western part and particularly the origin of Tibet. Hidden at the back of huge peaks Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. Mustang was out-of-the-way or completely restricted region for the trekkers until 1991. Mustang Trekking way embraces treeless deserted scenery, vertical rocky path ascending and descending the hill and eye-catching views of Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tilicho peak, Tukche peak, Mustang Himal, and many other giant peaks. Mustang region is considered to be a restricted area where a special trekking permit is obligatory through a registered trekking company and we, Nepal Tibet Tours & Treks arrange your special Trekking permits of Mustang and all necessary arrangements for Mustang Trekking.
The people settling in Mustang region are known as Lo and they settle at the end of Kaligandaki. Mustang is also an antique Himalayan Kingdom with several largest Tibetan Buddhist Gompas. Upon our arrival in Jomsom the doorway to Mustang trekking, we begin trekking crossing few striking villages and high passes, observe the standard of living of the selters, experience the deepest gorge in the world on the way. The arresting peaks and frequently changing scenery, white rinsed walls of Lo Mangthang adds charm to Mustang trekking.
We, Nepal Tibet Tours & Treks has been arranging Mustang Trekking for those who wish to experience the Himalayan way of life and look at the unaffected and distinctive traditions of the Nepali Tibetan local people there. Trekking to Mustang region was entirely camping trekking in the past years. However, Mustang trekking can organize tea house trekking these days.
