Trip Itinerary

Day 01Arrived at Kathmandu (1400m.)
After you arrive in Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by our representative at the airport and then you will be transferred to the hotel. You will be briefly described about your tour and checked in to the Hotel. Rest of the day is all yours and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 02Kathmandu - Aarughat (530m.)
Driving through the striking path you move from Kathmandu all the way through the hills to reach Malekhu, and after that moving further 35km passing the secondary road to Dhading Besi you enter Aarughat above the Budhi Gandaki River. This is an area inhabited mostly by Newars and Gurungs. We will be staying here for the night.

Day 03Aarughat – Sati Khola (1000m.)
Today, from Aarughat we head north, trekking alongside the Budi Gandaki. As we pass the fields of paddy and striking settlements we reach Kyoropani after a short climb. The trail moves down now to the riverside where we will set camp for the night.

Day 04Sati Khola - Machhakhola (1300m.)
The track today goes slowly downwards until we climb up once more to the ridge of Almara. Then, we move ahead through the forest path to enter Riden Gaon. The gorge here cuts into another part of the river to go through Budhi Gandaki. At Lambesi, the path follows downward to the river bed of Budi Gandaki. Today’s trek may last for about 5 hours. We will set a camp for tonight at Machha Khola.

Day 05Machha Khola - Jagat (1360m.)
We trek along small ups and downs today crossing a gravel bar before going across the Thado Khola and walking through a pebbly gorge to Khorla Besi. You can also observe a small hot spring at Tatopani. The path then climbs a peak before crossing the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. After ascending upwards, we will arrive at Dobhan. As the height increases, the landscape undergoes a full alteration. At Jagat, you will find a police check-post where your trekking permit will be checked. We will be spending the night at Jagat.

Day 06Jagat - Nayak (2300m.)
We leave Jagat and move down to the riverbed once more. After going across the river, we go up to a terraced hill of Saguleri from where you can see the Sringi Himal (7177 m.). At Ghatte, we will cross the river Budhi Gandaki and go on moving towards Sirish Gaon from where the Gandaki valley narrows. We will set camp at Sirish Gaon for the night.

Day 07Nayak
You have a free day today so, optionally you can go for local excursions and enjoy the surroundings at Nayak. We will be spending the night on camp at Nayak.

Day 08Nayak - Ghap (2095 m.)
Today we walk from Nayak, along the upstreams of the Deng River where you will observe a small village of only 4 houses. We then trek through a recently built rock tunnel avoiding the traditional vertical climb. At Ghap, the Tibetan way of life starts with Mani stones and chortens on all sides. We will set camp for the night at Ghap.

Day 09Ghap - Lho Gaon (3150 m.)
From Ghap today, we will cross the wooden bridge above Budhi Gandaki to tag along the path with a series of houses surrounded with cultivated fields. At Namru, there is one more police check post. After our entry pass is inspected we make our way to Sho passing the Hinan river starting off from Linda glacier. The beautiful north face of Manaslu (7774 m.) and Naike peak are observable from here. We will be camping near the river at Loh Gaon – a small village.

Day 10Lho Gaon - Sama Gompa (3500 m.)
Today’s path takes us to Gomba and then we go up to the peaceful Tibetan settlement of Shayla with an amazing view of the landscape. Then, we travel through the distinctive alpine forest that takes us to Pung Gyan Gomba, all the way through the pastures and ultimately to the 500 years old community of Sama Gaon and Dzongka Dzong (castle) lying near the border of Tibet. In the afternoon, you can move up to the ancient Gomba and wander around the attractive Sama Gaon village.

Day 11Sama Gompa - Samdo (4000 m.)
From Sama Gompa, you pass through the long Mani walls and Chorten at Kermo Kharka then go down to the Budi Gandaki and walk around the old settlements of Samdo dwellers, Tibetan. This was a trade point between China and India a long time ago. You will be observing the lifestyle of local people such as rearing livestock like yaks, goats, sheep etc. and training their horses and cultivating barley. We will be camping tonight in Samdo.

Day 12Samdo
Today we have a free day without a trek so, you may go for the local excursions around the village. We will be spending one more night in Samdo village in the company of the local dwellers bestowing us with their hospitality.

Day 13Samdo - Guest Home (4450 m.) 5-6 hrs
From Samdo we move down a steep path to come across the Gyala Khola. Going up again, we come to the point where you will see the prosperous Lyarke bazaar. We will come across two small rivers before Larke Glacier. Climbing from here we arrive at an amazingly built cluster of buildings called “Guest House”. We will be setting camp for the night here.

Day 14Guest House - Lharke La Pass (5135 m.) - Lharke Phedi (4450 m.)
We start our trek today, moving towards the north side of the Larkya Glacier. You will get to see the glimpses of Cho Danda and the Larkya Peak. After walking for about four hours we will reach the top of the Larkya La (4930m.), and will be welcomed by the sight of wonderful mountains- Himlung Himal (7126m.), Gyagi Kung, Cheo Himal (6820m.), Kang Kuru (6981m.), Annapurna II (7937m.) and more. We then move down to a smooth track passing along the glacial moraine and then finally reaching Bimphedi. We will be staying overnight at Bhimphedi.

Day 15Lharke Phedi - Karche (2785 m.)
We descend to Larcia and then to a hill called Pangal from Lharke today, where you will be able to witness a superb view of the landscapes, hilltops and peaks.. At Tangbuche, we move down again towards Bimtang. We go up the lateral moraine for a while until we arrive at a riverbank. You move down again through rhododendron forests to Hompak and then head towards cultivated fields to enter Karche. We will be camping at Karche for the night.

Day 16Karche - Dharapani (1943 m.) 6-7 hrs
Leaving Karche, you ascend all the way through the paddy pastures toward Karche La. From the pass the path descends through several fields to Tillije. You cross Dudhkhola to get to Thonje check post. We will reach Dharapani going through the Marsyangdi valley from here. We will be camping at Dharapani today.

Day 17Dharapani – Besishahar (5-6 hrs)
Today we will drive you Dharapani to Besishahar which might take 5-6 hours. We will be spending the night at a hotel in Besishahar.

Day 18Besishahar - Kathmandu 5-6 hrs
Today, after breakfast we will drive you to Kathmandu. You may recline at the hotel where you will be staying overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 19Departure
Today this tour ends unfortunately, and is the day we part. Our airport representative will take you to the airport for your way back to your country.
