Trip Itinerary

Day 01
Fly to Lhasa (3680m.)

This is one of the exciting days of your Tibet Nepal Bhutan 12-day Tour. Arrive Lhasa by flight or train, then our Tibetan guide will pick you up and transfer to the hotel. Rest at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 02
Tour in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar

Today you will visit the vital Potala Palace, Lhasa’s prime landmark and a wonder of Eastern architecture. You will also visit Jokhang Temple located at Barkhor Bazaar, the most respected shrine in Tibet, continually crowded with devotees. Finally, shop in Barkhor Bazaar, the central market in historic Lhasa.
Day 03
Tour in Lhasa: Drepung & Sera Monasteries

After breakfast, visit Drepung Monastery, once the world’s largest monastery and home to 10,000 monks. In the afternoon, visit Sera Monastery, famous for its regular debating activities among Tibetan monks. Overnight at the hotel in Lhasa.
Day 04
Lhasa – Kathmandu (Fly back)

After breakfast, drive to Gongar Airport for your flight to Kathmandu. Transfer to the hotel on arrival. Free afternoon. Evening welcome Nepali dinner with a cultural program. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour: Boudhanath, Pashupatinath & Bhaktapur

Visit Boudhanath Stupa, the largest ancient Buddhist stupa in South Asia. Continue to Pashupatinath, Nepal’s most significant Hindu temple on the Bagmati River. Finish the day in Bhaktapur City, exploring its medieval architecture, Durbar Square, 55 Windows Palace, and other cultural sites. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 06
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour: Patan, Swayambhunath & Kathmandu Durbar Square

Visit Patan Durbar Square, known for its art and architecture, Swayambhunath ‘Monkey Temple’ with panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, including Hanuman Dhoka Palace and the Living Goddess Kumari. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 07
Kathmandu - Paro - Thimpu (2320m.)

Take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Paro. Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong, then drive to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan, and stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 08
Thimpu Sightseeing; Drive to Punakha (3120m.)

Explore Thimpu, including Handicrafts Emporium. Drive over Dochu La Pass to Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong and Wangdi Dzong. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 09
Punakha - Paro Sightseeing

Drive to Paro, visiting Simtokha Dzong en route. In the afternoon, visit National Museum, Satsam Chorten Monastery, and Paro Dzong. Overnight at the hotel in Paro.
Day 10
Paro: Taktsang Monastery ('Tiger's Nest')

Trek to Taktsang Monastery viewpoint (approx. 2 hours), then continue to the monastery itself (approx. 2 hours). Return to the hotel and relax. Optionally explore Paro marketplace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11
Fly back to Kathmandu

Fly from Paro to Kathmandu. Free afternoon for shopping or relaxing. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12
Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
