The majestic Annapurna Mountains can best be seen by doing the Annapurna Round Trekking.The Annapurna Round Trekking is a unique trail that takes you deep into the Annapurna Conservation Area Project.

Established by King Mahendra in 1968, it is home to over 100 varieties of rare orchids. This region is populated by snow leopard, Thar, blue sheep as well as over 100 varieties of mammals and 450 species of birds.

Part of the Annapurna Round Trek will take you to see the Gurung and Magar cultures in their traditional villages where they do terrace farming on the sides of the mountain.

Throughout the Annapurna Round Trekking trail, you will witness stunning views of the snow capped peaks of the Annapurna Mountains. Included in view is Annapurna I (elev. 8,091 m), the 10th highest mountain in the world, along with Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Manaslu (8th highest peak in the world) and Mt. Dhaulagiri ( 7th highest mountain in the world).

Each day will be a unique experience as you witness the dynamic scenery. There will be deep canyons to follow, rushing rivers, hidden waterfalls and fields of wildflowers. There are huge glaciers to behold as you make your way through hidden valleys to alpine vistas.

Note:

The following program can be tailor made as per your request. We can use the morning 8 am flight to Pokhara which is a 30 minutes flight. So, we can start the trek on the same day and can take a flight back to Kathmandu late afternoon when we are finished with the Trek. We can adjust the program as per the time and interest. For instance, we can add Rafting, visit to Chitwan National Park, Paragliding in Pokhara, Jeep flyer, Mountain flight in Kathmandu and many more. Trip Itinerary

  • Day 01
    Welcome to Kathmandu (1400m.)

    Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport and then s/he will usher you to the hotel. You will be briefly described about your tour and checked into the Hotel. You will have the rest of the day to yourself and overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 02
    Kathmandu – Besisashar (847m) (179km)

    Approximately, after a 8 hours drive through Prithivi Highway with an excellent view of Marsyangdi River, you will reach your first destination; Besishahar where you will spend the night. This is the door of Annapurna Circuit Trekking.3

  • Day 03
    Besisashar- Chame (2630m.)

    After Breakfast, it will be a drive of approximately 6-7hrs to Chame. On the way, you will cross the famous Dudh Khola which in fact originated from the south face of Manaslu. The Marsyangdi then swerves to the left and as Annapurna II (7939m.) becomes visible ahead, you reach Bagarchhap. With the beautiful sceneries of Manaslu and Annapurna II, you will walk to the forest of Fir and rocky declivities. You arrive at the capital and administrative headquarter of Manang district, Chame on the bank of the river. Overnight at Chame.

  • Day 04
    Chame - Pisang (3190m.)

    Today, your 5 hours trek will start with the sparkling view of Lamjung Himal (6893m.) in the crack of dawn where you set off for Pisang. Near Brathangs village, an amazing waterfall can be sighted. Pisang is in the lap of the Pisang peak which is considered a popular peak to mount and the east peak of Annapurna II along with the northeast peak of Pisang appears breathtaking. Eventually, you will witness the view of the long Mani wall by the bridge and the lower village of Pisang.

  • Day 05
    Pisang - Manang (3520m.)

    Today, from Pisang village, you will trek towards Manang valley. You take a steady ascend route for half an hour to reach the top and get a primary view of the Manang valley. This exhilarating spot bestows splendid sights of the valleys, Humde village and the great peaks of Annapurna II, III, Gangapurna, Tilicho, Chulu east, Pisang peak and more. The trek advances to Humde and an enjoyable walk will take you to the Braga village. From here, the vegetation changes; you will notice the distinction of scenery and dried up mountain hills. You reach Manang for your overnight stay from Bhratang after a half an hour walk.

  • Day 06
    Manang Rest day

    This is an acclimatisation day as well as a day to enjoy Manang. Manang is the village with flat roofed houses which is the eye-catching set and is bounded by some wonderful scenery -Annapurna II, III (7,555 m.), Tilicho (7,132 m.), Gangapurna (7,454 m.) to the South, Chulu East (6,059 m.) to the North and to the West lies Chulu West (6,583 m.) You will also be briefed about the difficulties and safety measures for high altitude sickness by The Himalayan Rescue Association.

  • Day 07
    Manang - Ledar (4250m.)

    Early in the morning, you set off from Manang; the landscape is similar to the Tibetan plateau. The trek of almost 3 hours seems to be unhurried, however it takes longer to cover a shorter distance because of the trouble in breathing. However, you will feel re-energized by the view of Peak 29 and Himchuli. Climbing through, you pass the summer village of Gunsang where you cross Gundon Khola via a wooden bridge. Finally, you arrive at a small settlement of Ledar where you will stay the night.

  • Day 08
    Ledar - Thorung Phedi (4500m.)

    Leaving Ledar, you ascend a ridge prior to descending the headwaters of the Marsyangdi crossing, via a wooden bridge. After a short elevation up the mountain path on the right bank, you go through a narrow trail across a wobbly slope and then go down to reach Thorung Phedi after a walk of about 3 hours. Overnight at Thorung Phedi.

  • Day 09
    Thorung Phedi – Muktinath (3800m.)

    This is the most awaited and exciting day of your trip. You will start trekking early in the morning after your breakfast. The day will be more hectic as the walk will last for 7-8 hours. You will ascend to the top of the Thorung la Pass (5416m) which is the highest for the entire trek. On the other side of the pass, the landscape changes vividly from snowy mountains to brown-yellow areas which resemble desert. You finally reach the Hindu temple “God of Salvation”, Muktinath. This temple is considered to be the best example that shows harmony between Hinduism and Buddhism. The celebration of Yartung festival in august/ september will be the most exciting and beautiful part of your trek. You will stay the night at the lodge in Muktinath.

  • Day 10
    Muktinath – Jomsom (2713)

    Early morning, after visiting Lord Vishnu at Muktinath Temple, you will have breakfast at the guest house and then slowly move down on foot to Jomsom. It is your destination for the day. Your route will be from Muktinath to Kagbeni and from Kagbeni to Jomsom, which is the final stop on Annapurna Circuit Trek. Starting at 3650m, you will descend to 2830m by the end of the day. Jomson is a bustling town. You will stay the night at the hotel in Jomsom.

  • Day 11
    Jomsom – Pokhara

    Today, after having your breakfast you will fly from Jomsom to Pokhara. You will have the afternoon in Pokhara to yourself. Pokhara is abundant in attractions and cool cafes for you to have a calming and pleasant time to rest from your tiring trek. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 12
    Pokhara – Kathmandu

    After Breakfast, you will be driven back to Kathmandu in a tourist bus or you can take your private vehicle which will take 6hrs. You may even fly to Kathmandu directly which will be only a half an hour flight. You will stay in Kathmandu in the hotel overnight.

  • Day 13
    Departure

    Today is the last day of your stay in Nepal. Our airport representative will transfer you to the Airport. We, Nepal Tibet Tours & Treks, wish you a safe journey back home.
