Helambu trekking is one of the famous trekking trails in Langtang region.The Langtang Himal lies in the north part of Kathmandu valley and south of the Tibetan border.

Langtang Helambu trekking bestows a chance to witness huge Himalayan scenery of Langtang, Dorje Lakpa, Lirung, Gaurishankar, Langshisha Ri, Ganesh Himal, Gangchenpo, Naya kanga, Yala peak, Annapurna Himalayan range. You will also have a chance to explore long-established villages and Sherpa culture.

Located at the base of peak ranges, the Langtang National Park is a striking point to visit while going for Langtang Helambu Trek. It is Nepal’s first Himalayan national park established in 1976 to protect the wild lives and plants of the region. One of the rare animals, Red panda, is found in this protected area. The park is home for Himalayan black bear, Wild dog, Snow leopard, Ghoral, and over 250 species of birds. Faunas found here include Sal, different varieties of Rhododendron, Alder, Oak forest, Chirpine, Silver fir, Larch, Hemlock birch and many more. Besides, you will come across the Laurebina pass (4610 m.) and the sacred Gosainkunda lake.

The following program can be tailor made as per your request. We can adjust the program as per your time and interest. Activities such as Rafting, visit to Chitwan National Park, Paragliding in Pokhara, Jeep flyer, Mountain flight in Kathmandu, etc can be customised in your trip. We can use the morning 8 am flight to Pokhara, which only takes 30 minutes and we can make a short trip to Pokhara after the Langtang Trekking. Trip Itinerary

Day 01
WELCOME TO KATHMANDU (1400M.)

Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our representative at the airport and then s/he will usher you to the hotel. You will be briefly described about your tour and checked into the Hotel. You will have the rest of the day to yourself and overnight at the hotel.
Day 02
Kathmandu – Chisapani (2194m.)

Today, you start your trek from Shivapuri National Park in Kathmandu. The trek goes up steeply to the entrance check post. You move along the sign posted track ascending to the big Tamang village, Mulkharka. You reach the pass at Borlang Bhanjyang. Moving downhill passing the calm forests of oak, rhododendron etc, you will get to a wide track ascending to Chisapani where you will stay the night.
Day 03
Chisapani – Kutumsang (2446m.)

After Breakfast, you trek for 3 hours to Chipling, passing via the village and terraced field where you can have the benefit of having your lunch in the company of Himalayas in a local restaurant.Then, you trek for 3 hours all the way through the villages, walking up to Kutumsang (2446m.). Overnight at Trekkers Lodge.
Day 04
Kutumsang - Tharepati (3597m.)

Today you head off to Tharepati and trek for around 5 hours. Leaving Kutumsang, you’ll descend to the eye-catching village of Magin Goth. You can see incredible views from the rocky Thare Danda ridge, where a rough track climbs to Gosainkunda. Then, you have a 2 hours trek to Tharepati village (3597m.) where you stay the night.
Day 05
Tharepati - Tarke Gyang (25600m.)

From Tharepati, you trek for 2 hours downhill to Melamchi Gaon which is the last community of Helambu. Here, you have your lunch in a local restaurant. Then, you walk for 4 hours across the jungle and you will arrive at Tarke Gyang (2560m.). You stay the night at a lodge.
Day 06
Tarkeghyang

Today, you go around Tarke Gyang, the atmospheric stone village. You march through the jungle and go by the large Chortens. The village is named after the giant square Ghyang (monastery) in the centre of the village. This is the oldest monastery lying in the Helambu region. Most locals are Buddhist in the village. Tonight you stay in Tarke gyang after exploring the place.
Day 07
Tarke Gyang - Sermathang (2621m.)

After breakfast today, you begin your 4 hours trek to Sermathang (2621m.). You walk your way through villages and the jungle to reach your destination for the day. You have your lunch and stop overnight at a Lodge in Sermathang.
Day 08
Sermathang – Kathmandu

Today, after trekking down for 3 hours, you arrive at Melamchipul Bazar (846m.). Then, you take a 4 hours bus ride back to Kathmandu. You will stay the night at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 09
Departure

Today is the last day of your stay in Nepal. Our airport representative will transfer you to the Airport. We, Nepal Tibet Tours & Treks, wish you a safe journey back home.
