For those seeking the ultimate adventure, the Everest – Chola Pass trek offers you the finest opportunity to explore the incredible altitudes of the Everest region.

The Everest – Chola Pass trek features trekking to an altitude of 5330 m. The trek is loaded with magnificent skyline views of not only Mt. Everest (elev. 8,848 m), but other sky-scraping peaks like Mt. Lhotse (elev. 8516 m), Mt. Pumori (elev. 7,161 m), Mt. Nuptse (elev. 7,855 m), Mt. Changaste (elev. 7,550 m), Mt. Ama Dablam (elev. 6,856 m), Mt. Twache Peak (elev. 6,367 m), Mt. Kantega (elev. 6685 m) and many more. These snow capped mountains form a protective ring around Mt. Everest like knights guarding their queen.

The trek includes an opportunity to climb Mt. Gokyo RI (elev. 5480 m). It is considered to be a trekking peak, meaning no special equipment is required to climb this mountain. From here, you get the panorama of glaciers, sacred lakes, waterfalls, terraced farms and picturesque Sherpa villages.

The trek features a chance for you to engage yourself in the culture of the Sherpas. You will get a chance to mingle with the locals in the capital village of Namche Bazar before advancing towards paths that are far less travelled by visitors; you will see dramatic and picturesque scenes of donkeys and yaks carrying goods through the mountains. You will visit the hidden Buddhist monasteries and have some tea time with the locals in their traditional houses.

You will have an opportunity to visit Everest Base Camp as well to travel through the picturesque Gokyo Valley. But the highlight of the trek will be waiting for you on the top of Chola Pass (elev. 5,330 m). You will stand on the top of the pass and behold the incredible, breathtaking views of the myriad of snow capped mountains.

This incredible adventure will begin in Kathmandu; the capital city of Nepal, where you will spend a day exploring the ancient city and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It will be a preparation day for your trekking journey into the Everest region.
