Trip Itinerary

Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m.)

Upon your arrival at Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to hotel. Check in to the hotel, have a short briefing of Nepal Tibet Everest Base Camp Overland Tour, fill up Tibet Visa form. Evening walk to the Nepali Restaurant for welcome with a typical Nepal dinner and live cultural performances. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour (Swayambhunath/Patan/Kathmandu Durbar square)

After breakfast, guided sightseeing tour by our expert English-speaking tour guide to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Visit Patan city, rich in prehistoric culture and tradition, especially Durbar Square. After lunch, visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, all sites are UNESCO world heritage listed. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03
Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour – Nagarkot (2915m.)

Sightseeing tour to Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Bhaktapur city with attractions like Nyatapola, Durbar Square with 55 windows palace, Dattatreya Temple, Bhairavnath Temple. Later drive to Nagarkot for overnight stay at hotel.
Day 04
Nagarkot – Kathmandu (1350m.)

Early morning sunrise view including panorama of Mt. Everest. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu. Free afternoon for shopping or exploring the city. Overnight at hotel.
Day 05
Kathmandu - Lhasa (3660m)

After breakfast, transfer to airport for scenic flight to Lhasa. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views. Upon arrival at Gongar Airport, Tibetan guide welcomes you and transfers to hotel. Overnight in Lhasa.
Day 06
Lhasa

Tour starts at Jokhang Temple after breakfast. Visit Barkhor Street and Drepung Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 07
Lhasa

Visit the Potala Palace, Lhasa’s prime landmark and former home of Dalai Lama. Continue to Sera Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 08
Lhasa - Gyantse (3950m.) - Shigatse (3900m.)

Travel from Lhasa to Gyantse (260 km) through scenic landscapes, Yamdrok Lake, Karola Glacier, visit Gyantse Kumbum and Pelkor Chode Monastery, Gyantse Dzong. Continue to Shigatse (90 km) visiting Tashilhunpo Monastery. Overnight at hotel.
Day 09
Shigatse - Shegar (4300m.)

Drive along the Friendship Highway from Shigatse to Shegar (New Tingri), approximately 250 km (5-6 hours), crossing Gyatso La Pass and passing through small villages. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10
Shegar - Rongbuk - Everest Base Camp - Rongbuk (5000m.)

Drive from Shegar to Rongbuk Monastery (100 km), then visit Everest Base Camp (8 km from Rongbuk). Scenic road passes through Tibetan highlands and Pang La Pass. Overnight at Rongbuk Monastery or guesthouse.
Day 11
Rongbuk (5000m.) - Kerong (2450m.)

Drive from Rongbuk to Kerung (Kyirong) 190 km (6-7 hours) along Friendship Highway, passing through stunning landscapes of Tibet and Himalayan views. Last night with Tibetan guide and driver. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12
Kerung (2450m) - Kathmandu (1400m) 123km

Drive from Kerung to Kathmandu, assisted by Nepali representative for immigration exit formalities. Driving takes 7-8 hours. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 13
Kathmandu

Free day for shopping, rest, and relaxation after the Tibet adventure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14
Departure

Transfer to airport for your final departure, marking the end of your Nepal Tibet Overland Tour.
