Day 01Arrive Lhasa (3680m.)
You can either fly from Kathmandu to Lhasa (3650m.) or take a train from China as per your convenience. You will be warmly welcomed by our special Tibetan guide after your arrival. You will be then transferred to Lhasa city and then to a Tibetan style hotel and stay overnight. After check in, you get a free afternoon for acclimatization or rest.

Day 02Lhasa Exploration (3680m.)
You will explore around Lhasa city on the second and third day of this trip. This sightseeing tour includes Lhasa’s cardinal milestone- Potala Palace, the highest ancient Palace with gigantic constructions. The rooms, chapels and halls of this palace are absolutely incredible and amazing. In a while, visit the Jokhang Temple enlisted in World Heritage list which is the spiritual center of Tibet. You will also get a chance to see the Barkhor Street, the oldest and unique circular street in this traditional Tibetan city, and Drepung and Sera Monasteries. Finally, you will stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 03Lhasa Exploration (3680m.)
Continuation of your trip with sightseeing, cultural exploration, and acclimatization in Lhasa. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04Lhasa - Gyantse (3950m.) - Shigatse (3900m.)
Early morning you start your journey with a picturesque drive of 300 Km from Lhasa over Karola (5010 m.) and Kambala (4794 m.). You can view the outstanding Yamzhog Yumco Lake and the Kalais Kora Glacier along the route. You then come across the beautiful colorful Yamdrok Lake, shaped like a scorpion, and the famous Tibetan salvation river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Arrive at Gyantse (3950 m.) to visit Khumbum Monastery and Palkhor Monastery. Then take 90 km drive to Shigatse to visit the Tashilunpo Monastery of the Panchen Lama. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05Shigatse - Lhatse (4350m.)
Today you continue your scenic ascending drive and cross the highest pass en-route to Lhatse, Gyatchu La (5220m). Here the road to stunning Mt. Kailash splits to the west. After arrival at Lhatse, relax and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 06Lhatse (4350m) / Tingri (4300m) – Kerung
Drive downhill through the Tibetan plateau with breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 m) and Mt Xishapagma (8012 m), dwarfed by the vastness of the plateau. From Tingri, enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8848 m). Stay overnight at guest house.

Day 07Kerung Border - Kathmandu (1300m) (145 km, 6-7 hours drive)
After breakfast, cross from Tibet to Nepal, meet the Nepali guide, and drive through the green highway to Kathmandu, taking about 7-8 hours. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
